Terms of use

1. SClinica

SClinica (sclinica.pages.dev and the SClinica app) is software run by Satyajit Chincholkar, Pune, Maharashtra, India ("SClinica", "we"). Contact: satyajituniv02@gmail.com. SClinica is sponsored by Manakarnika; the sponsor's medicine shop is listed in SClinica and its books and lectures are linked from it.

SClinica is a tool for keeping clinic records and passing orders between doctors, customers and shops. It is not a medical service, a pharmacy or a seller of medicines, and it does not give medical advice.

2. Doctors

  1. Who may use it. Only medical practitioners registered with their council (Ayurveda, Homoeopathy or Allopathy). You confirm your registration when you ask for access; we may check it.
  2. Licence. A licence is for one clinic and one doctor's account, for the period you paid for (or a free or pilot period we grant). It is personal and may not be shared or resold.
  3. Payment and renewal. Prices are shown on the sign-up and renewal pages. You pay by UPI and give the UTR number; the licence starts or is extended when we confirm the payment. SClinica reminds you before the end date. After it, SClinica keeps opening for 7 days, then locks until you renew; your records stay safe in your folder.
  4. Refunds. Fees for a period that has started are not refunded. If we cannot confirm a payment, or we refuse an access request, we return what you paid.
  5. Your records and your duties. The records are yours and stay on your computer. You are responsible for your clinical decisions and prescriptions, for patients' consent (records, WhatsApp messages, research), for keeping records as your council requires, and for your computer, passphrase and printed recovery key. If both the passphrase and the recovery key are lost, nobody – including SClinica – can open the records.
  6. Backups. SClinica makes encrypted daily backups to the cloud and copies on your computer. Keep your own copies as well; we cannot promise that a backup will always be available.
  7. Ordering. You may order medicines from shops listed in SClinica. You are free to buy from any shop; SClinica takes no commission on orders.

3. Medicine shops

  1. You hold the licences the law requires for the medicines you sell, and you are the seller in every order.
  2. Before accepting a customer's order you check the prescription, and you supply only what the law and the prescription allow. You may reject any order.
  3. You are responsible for the medicines' quality, the price you quote, your bill or GST invoice, delivery, returns and refunds, and for dispatching only after the payment has reached you (for customers).
  4. You use doctors' and customers' details only to supply their orders, keep your password secret, and tell SClinica at once if your account is misused.
  5. The terms of any sponsorship or business arrangement with SClinica are in a separate written agreement.

4. Customers ordering medicines

  1. You must be 18 or older (a parent or guardian orders for a child) and upload a genuine, current prescription from a registered doctor. Uploading a false or altered prescription is an offence.
  2. Your order is a purchase from the shop, not from SClinica. The shop checks the prescription, tells you the amount and may refuse the order.
  3. You pay the shop by UPI before dispatch and type the UTR number. Questions about the medicines, delivery, returns or refunds go to the shop; SClinica will help you reach it.
  4. Take medicines only as your doctor advises.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse SClinica: no false information, no access to other people's accounts or data, no attempt to break, overload or copy the software, and no unlawful use. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling its owner where possible.

6. Videos, books and links

Lecture videos (YouTube) and Manakarnika Publications' book shop (Wix) are provided by others for education and convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or sales.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep SClinica running and safe, but it is provided "as is"; it may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. As far as the law allows, SClinica is not liable for indirect losses, for medical decisions, or for the medicines supplied by shops. Our total liability to any user is limited to the fees that user paid SClinica in the 12 months before the claim.

8. The software

SClinica's software, name and logo belong to SClinica. The sponsor's name and logo belong to Manakarnika and are used with its permission. Your records and content remain yours.

9. Ending use

You may stop using SClinica at any time. A doctor's records remain on the doctor's computer; we delete account data on request, except what the law requires us to keep. We may end the service with reasonable notice; prepaid licences then remain valid to their end date or are refunded for the unused months.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first – most problems can be solved quickly. Any dispute that remains will be decided by the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We post the new version here with its date and tell doctors and shops in SClinica before an important change takes effect; using SClinica after that means you accept it.
